View Full Version : Black 2003 Grand Am GT1, exterior detail

- Let car cool off for 15-20 minutes (it had just been driven about 1hr iirc)
- Clean Tires with Meguiars "Next Gen" Tire CLEANER and Meguiars Versa Angle Tire Brush
- Clean Rims with "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" and water
- Wash with "AA" Car Wash
- Claybar with "ClayMagic" Claybar
- Tape off with "3M" blue painters tape
- Polish with PC7424, Meguiars #83 and Sonus Cutting Pad
- Wipe Down Door Jambs, windows and quick underhood wipedown with MF and water
- Sealed with Long Haul
- Waxed with P21s


you will also notice we did not dress the tires as Jon said at the last minute that he didnt mind not having it done.. normally this would have been done with Meguiars GC Endurance Gel

The purpose of this detail was to fade whatever scratches possible w/out spending hours upon hours of each panel with the porter, buff out the swirls, and basically make it look much better than it was. I'd say we accomplished that goal.

Hand Wash & Vac
Exterior hand washed and dried, wheels thoroughly cleaned, tires cleaned and dressed, door jams wiped. The interior carpet is vacuumed, windows are cleaned and all remaining surfaces are dusted. (30min-1.25hrs)
N-body: $45 Anything else: e-mail for quote

Exterior Detail
Multi-step process...body and wheels hand washed, bugs and tar are removed from the vehicle, exterior is clayed to remove surface contaminates, paint is safely machine polished to remove most swirl marks and minor scratches, carnauba wax is applied to protect the paint and give the finish a better than new shine, exterior trim and tires dressed, windows cleaned, door jams detailed. (2-5 hrs)
N-Body: $145 Anything else: e-mail for quote

Interior Detail
Full vacuuming. Carpets and floor mats shampooed, scuff marks removed, vinyl and leather cleaned and treated, seats cleaned, all interior panels detailed, all dirt removed from cracks and crevices, windows cleaned. (1-4 hrs)
N-body: $ 130 Anything else: e-mail for quote

Full Detail
Both our Exterior and Interior Detailing Services. (3-9 hrs)
N-Body: $ 240 Anything else: e-mail for quote

Awesome! Black is a very difficult color to detail.....looked great!
