This car was probably one of the worste ive delt with yet. The previous owner must have washed the car with a scratch pad or steel wool, it’s the only thing I can think of that may have caused this kind of damage. It’s a shame, IMO it’s a beautiful color with tons of flake, the body lines are sexy and has real clean look to it.

After doing a test spot for the owner it was realized that most of the panels on the car needed to be wetsanded and buffed out. The owner bought this car as a winter beater and did not want to pay for wet sanding. So we came to an agreement. Only 2 compounding and polishing steps and what does not come out he will live with. Kinda upset me cuase I really wanted to use my wool pads.

Process
Washed with Optimum carwash in foam gun, only 1 bucket, no grit guard, old mitt, no way was I gonna make this paint any worse anyways.
Clay- claymagic blue
Makitta rotary
Orange edge2K pad with optimum compound at 1800rpm’s
Blue edge2K pad with optimum polish at 1000rpm’s
Loung Hual polish/sealant (AIO)
Duragloss aquawax

Before I even touched it:

Damn. Looks really good. Too bad you can't get ahold of my car  I wish he would have let you wetsand it b/c I'd love to see how that would've turned out. And that's a pretty sexy beater IMO

Ok I have to ask. Why do you have 2 bigs? Where do they go in the winter?

They are at my father inlaws out on his farm. He has a HUGE HUGE red barn so i built a pen by one of the basement doors. The pen is about 25ft by 25ft and they can go inside the barn if they want to to get out of the sun or cold or rain. You can see the door in the pic, you can see my knee sticking out of it.

I paid $50 apiece for them and when they both hit 200 pounds they are going to the butcher :)

Pigs are amazing actually, they are extremely smart, almost smarter than a dog. They like to wrestle too, they are actually alot of fun. Our pitbull has made freinds with them and they sleep together in the barn and wrestle around, its the damndest thing you ever seen

Hey coupe, wanna do my 90 Cavalier? It actually looks worse than that Mazda did... believe it or not. There are swirls in the paint/clear covering the entire car that are actually scratches. You can catch your fingernail in all of them. I think it was washed with a DA sander every weekend.

Awesome job though, it looks great. Is that the one that you posted another topic about not too long ago?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm a dumbass.
