Anyone know of a good site or book that deals with indepth suspension mods? Like how to set up a full on race suspension or something along those lines?

How serious you planning to get.
You planning on getting bigger brakes, converting your drums, larger sway bars, etc. :???:

not to sure about info on how to build a good setup. But i bet if you e-mail some of the sites that offer high end parts you will get some good replies. There opinion may be a little Bias though.
The best i have found as of yet for upgrades is as followes:
Corvette/Camaro Brake conversion.
Bilstein Struts & Springs are the best replacements i have found. They offer coil overs as well.
Before i just go listing all of this, you can check out this site (http://mantapart.com/). they have lots of after market performance suspension and chassis parts. Be willing to pay the price though.

Thanks for the help, but I’m not looking for parts, I’m looking for information. I want to find stuff like, if I put some positive camber into a car what will it do, or if I add a larger sway bar to the rear what will that do, what will different stiffness’s of springs do or if you adjust the dampening of a shock. I dont want to just slap parts on my car and hope I will get the outcome that i want.
Not to mention mantapart is a joke.
I would like some info like that too, knowing what does what to the GA specifically and what others have experienced, but I'm also looking for a bigger front sway bar for autoX. When I went this weekend, the GA rolled like a mofo.
In order to stay in stock class for me, I can only add struts, tires and a front sway bar. Need to know where I can find that.

There's a group buy going for sway bars for 99+.

Price is $140 each, plus shipping. It's from PFYC, which is a reputable vendor.
As far as information goes, I'm not quite sure.

Not very many people like to give out suspension info because it lets out their secrets. Its a tough crowd to break. Thats like asking a good tuner how he tunes.

its hard to even do any *real* mods to our grand ams.
If you want to know a lot, clubroadster.net and a couple other good miata sites have amazing suspension tuners (keith amongst others that I have forgotten)
any solo or soloII or SCCA websites will have some good suspension tips (for autocross anyways, but a lot of general information can be applied to any race environment)
But as bballr said, some people dont like to give too specific info.
Positive camber induces a bit more understeer in our cars (on the front wheels), since it forces the contact patch to the outside of the tire, and under heavy lateral forces the tire will typically begin to lose traction earlier, but in most cases it will increase turn-in response - I hadnt noticed that in my grand am, but the suspension is so sloppy it doesnt matter much anyways)
To seriously setup an n-body for full race youd need custom control arms and spring perches, custom valved struts/shocks, more suspension bracing and better swaybar endlinks.
