Hey guys hope this thread is in the right spot just joined up with this forum and its great.. lots of good info.. now for my question is there a reason that the hoods on the GT's come with the scoops plugged?

Because they don't go anywhere, and opening them up lets all sorts of debris into your engine bay, whether it's leaves, sticks, squirrels, or other things. Either leave them plugged, or put some plexiglass behind your choice of grill kit.

Because they're pointless. If they were open, the only thing they'd do is let shit into your engine bay.

:lol: both correct, but funny responses. I've seen at least one SC/T style hood that has ducts routed to the air box, but I think it was a custom one-off deal... I would also guess that it would not be good to drive in the rain either.

well i haven't seen rain in almost 6 months so i'm not to worried about that its just i want to get a lil more air into the engine bay cause for example today when i drove by the bank the sign out front read 126F
