Looking to pick up a LD9 in the future and want to read some more about it.
As of right now the cam swap and a SC. However it could get a forged block if I decide to go that route.

Thinking about moving over to the dark side?
As much as I love my SC (which is ideal choice for low boost), if I were doing a ground-up build, I would go the turbo route.
In addition to some of the threads here, I would read the FAQ section at Quad4forums.com for the nitty-gritty on the LD9. I'm not a huge fan of J-body.org, but it serves as a good place to get an idea of what people are doing with their LD9's.

Yea I found the Quad forums last night. Im still throwing a lot of ideas around in my head seeing how it will be my DD. My moms Malibu has the LD9 and I dont mind driving it around at all. Throw a GA and a manual around the engine and you should have a fun car.
A TC is actually my number one choice.

Twinny is a great engine, just watch the oil and dont rev it past 6k and you should be fine.
OEM A/C units onthe 96-98 cars are weak, but you shouldnt run in to half the problems I had if you use a 99+ LD9, high compression ratio too :D

Well if I do end up getting one itll be made to have some fun with while being a reliable DD. Its still up in the air and I would love to test drive a manual just to make my mind up but alas the closest one I can find is almost 100 miles away.
