That's right I was stopped at a light on my way home from work and this unmarked police car runs though the intersection lights flashing and behold it was a white 4 door grand am gt. It went by too quick to get a picture but it made me look twice. I had never seen this one around if I see it again I'll try and get a picture. Just thought it was neat to see.

Theres been a few security and meter maid GA's.
The most common one posted here is the one for Lincoln Nebraska's Parking Enforcement.
Seen a dark blue four door GA around here about two months ago with a motorcycle pulled over, that was the first and only GA police car I've ever seen. The red and blue lights were in the window behind the rear view mirror.

Why wouldn't they use a GA? Noone is suspicious when they see a Grand Am. However, when you see a Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis, you instantly go on alert.

The Halifax Regional Police here have a brand new G6 sedan for a ghost vehicle - a friend of mine saw it running the other day, flashers on the headlights and tails, R&Bs behind the front grilles and in the back windows.

The grand am looks grate with lights on it!
I use my grand am when Volunteering at a Ambulance Corps. in nyc. I have two red and white led strip lights in the front windsheild and a strob blue and red on the back windsheild and head light flashers in all 4 lights. My car looks grate like that. I can move my car faster then NYPD can mover the crown vicks and the chevy's. I will add a pic soon!

Also Mustangs and Charger's around here they have these dam chargers and they took them philly airport they got them to 175 and still had pedal left, its either twin turbo'd or a big A$$ supercharger but those things are FAST! the unmark mustangs are like the cheap model V6 looking but there really GT's with auto tranmissions

I love my Grand Am as a ESV The police here should use the Grand Am as service cars. The cops in Westchester are using VETS. I have a sliver Grand am that i have all hooked up with lights and sirens. People see my car in the streets of NYC and they move out of my way.

I would love to see proof they got a Charger to 175mph because even with a really tall rear gearing it would take some serious power to push those bricks to that speed.

The charger are the worst car ever! I do not see hoe it is safe to make a car with half a windsheil into a cop car! and besides they are ugly! i had one as a rental in FL. and i hated it. yea it was fast, but i was humillated driving it.:(

While were on the subject of Police cars and Grand Am's I figure I'd humor everyone with a project I did last year with my GA... All reflective decals I made and placed on my 2 door. Car also has lights and a siren.

I have fulol autherazition to run with all that in my car. I have all proper state paper work. So i am doing nothing wrong. And with me doing so i am not impostering any cop, i have nothing on my car stating NYPD, State PD. I only have EMS and EMT on it and it is removeable, except for the sticker in the window.

I must have missed this. I live in Westchester and haven't seen a vett police car. Lots of new chargers but no vetts.

Again, not calling you a liar but I work in New Rochelle. I've seen their Camaro on a number of occasions. Never seen the Vett.

Well ugly is your opinion, I dont think they buy police cars because they are good looking or not.
And what makes you think it's unsafe? Half a windshield? I take it you dont like the look of the low roofline, maybe a BlueBird would be better?
Personally I think the Dodge Chargers as Police cars are badass. Much better looking than the LTDs, Caprice, Impala, Taruas, Diplomat or anything else ever was. However After riding in a lot of new Dodges the one word that comes to mind is "cheap".
