Is there any way that a 225/60R16 tire, on the stock 16" rims, will work on the SE/GT ? Without any modifications or a BFH. Just a 225/60R16 on the stock rims. Any clearance or rubbing issues? Thanks

Why would you want a 225/60/16? Its going to look funny and throw your speedometer/odometer off. Its almost 2" taller of a tire.

Beggars can't be choosers...I have a chance to get a set of four 225/60R16 tires for free. They're Bridgestones and in like new condition. Very good tires. I know my speedo will be off, I know it's a higher sidewall...about an inch, not two inches. As for looking funny...well, that's a matter of opinion. I simply want to know if they will work on the stock 16" rims without any rubbing issues. Either on a full turn, or suspension bottoming, or hitting the bottom strut caps...that's all. Thanks.

If you getting them for free, sell them, then buy the right size tire

Its an inch taller on top and bottom.....24.9" diameter to 26.6.

Anyways, I say put them on craigslist and see if you get any calls.

Guys...I realize that it's extremely easy to pass judgement and critique. All I want to know is, will they work on the stock rims with no rubbing issues. Not what I should and shouldn't do. As for just getting them and selling them on cl. Sure I could do that...and possibly make $150 out of the $400 I'd need to buy a new set of tires in the stock size. I do alot of business on cl, and I know the drill on there. Thanks anyway.
