I ordered some of those Vinyl eyelids for my headlights from CustomGrandAm.com well they mention about having a tint shop do them. Has anyone something like this before on their own? Trying to figure out why they would be hard to do if they are cut to a certain shape there shouldn't be too much work to do.
Ive put on my own window banner before so if its like that then I should be able to do it myself

I'm sure your capable of doing them yourself. Just take your time.

this is NOTHING like putting on a windshield banner. i spent probably 1-1.5hours on each side for mine. im not sure if the curvature of your 97 headlights is greater than the newer ones, but the more curve the more of a pain it is.

was there anything special or any technique you found helpful?

still haven't got them on. I tried one,its not as easy as I thought, just the curve made it that more difficult. Im going to have a vinyl shop do them. They put vinyl on vehicles and make vinyl signs.

well what i did, was a took my headlights into the house, sat down and got comfortable lol. just hold it in your lap and get your blow dryer, water, and a sqeejee (SP) type thing. the blow dryer melts the vinyl so u gotta pull it tight and then use a credit card or something to sqeejee with to flaten it and get the water out. then u hold it tight for a few seconds til that little part drys, then move to the next part of the vinyle and keep doing it over and over again until u have done the entire peice of vinyl. when i did it, i started at the inner part of the headlight and worked my way outward.
