So I was wondering what size tires you guys are running on your 17s. This set of wheels I got have 205/40/17 tires and they make the wheels look like 15s. I was thinking about running 225/55/17 so my speedo isnt too far off. My old wheels have 225/60/16 on them. Let me know what size you guys are running. Thanks.

Are you sure you have 225/60. They are not the correct size so you speedo would be off with them. I believe you would have had 205/55=16 as an optional size

Sorry, I forgot to add they are on my Cutlass, not my GA.

Use 215/45-17. This is the best choice when plus-sizing to 17's on a 92-98 chassis.

Your old tires were the wrong size too. They should have been 205/55-16, so technically your speedometer has never been right.

Oh, well then this does not belong in the regular GA sections. Moved.

I've got 215/45's on my 17's. I had 215/50's but that caused some rub when I was turning or the front was bouncing.
