The hood


(so i wont start anything about "rice" comment.. I just been called that by some members already, so its not meant as a bad thing, at least in my case :) .. i hope lol)

I don't think it's a ricer... but if I may make some suggestions.

Paint the whole car one color, the hood looks funny not matching the rest of the car.

Get rid of the "R" sticker on the window.

Also, the spoiler is okay. Not that bad. I would suggest painted it all the match the car.

Other than that, sweet ride. :)

Hmmm not a fan of the hood being black and all. Now if it was say CF then that would be a different story. I like the new tint, and that spoiler has grown on me, or is it just growing? lol

I gotta agree with most here. Although I don't care for the wing in particular, it does seem to fit well with your car. Somehow it just pulls it off. :shrug:

As for the hood, I gotta say I'd like it better white. Hmmm, here's a thought for experement: Paint the hood white, but leave the scoops black. Something to consider anyway. :lol:

My only real suggestion, as with many others here, is to lose the 'R' sticker. Not so much that it's ugly, but simply because every rusted out Civic around here seems to find that same decal at our local Walmart, and proudly displays it on their car. But if YOU like it, keep it! It's your car, not mine. :)

Overall, your car is looking AWESOME! Love the SC/T hood, love the rims, the tint, hell, even the wing as I mentioned above. Keep up the great work with it!

Hey ... cool ... personally, I kind of like the black hood contrasting with the white ... especially if the paint job was free!!!! Besides, if you're worried about it ... just tell people you are test fitting it for a while :)

i agree with everything. looks great and all. "paint the hood white and leave the scopes black" that would be bad ass. "loose the R sticker" yes and no. it does look good to a point, but i see the R stickers alot out here. on every kinda car, even a Geo. now the wing.. i personly am not a fan of big wings on FWD cars and the only wing for my car is a OEM replacement. but over all the car does look pretty damn good. i just wish i could find a hood like that for a '97gase. i'd have it painted black to match the car and paint the scopes red.

now, that was just my :penny: not trying to offend anyone. but NICE car!

What is wrong with a spoiler on a FWD? They are jsut as fuctional as RWD. Actually proper downforce at speed has nothing to do with the drive wheels.

whats wrong with a personal opion?

and the main reason i dont like them is mostly the cars ya see them on. how often are those cars gonna travel fast enuff and keep that speed for it to be usefull? dont know many cars that need more down force at 105-125mph. and hell, my car has one, buts its the stock one, not a top-fuel dragster style wing.

I agree with the other opinions shared here the hood being a different color doesnt really bother me but I dont really see a point in it unless you have like a real carbon fiber hood then thats fine. The spoiler im not a fan of I just dont like large spoilers on any car. And the Type R stickers are just personal preference.

Nothing wrong with a opinion, but you clearly stated FWD, and I was wondering your reason behind it.

All to often I hear people say FWD vehicles do not need spoilers and then they give some lame excuse on breaking traction, tire spin, blah blah blah.
I was just curious to hear what your theory was.

Wow, this is kinda not fair, that only people with black cars can have a black hood and not being accused of having a carbon fiber one :lol:

But for me its a personal prefference and I love it a lot.. So I dont really think I will change that any time soon .. hehhehe

Umm... I dunno maybe it's just me but "that wing" that everyone is talking about ummm... well... IMAHO (yes that sez i'm a ho... "In my absolutely humble opinion"! PERVERTS) it's not really all that big... is it?

I've never seen it in person... but it looks to be only about 2 inches taller than an SC/T style wing... and as far as the hood goes it most definately, certainly looks better than any other color that it could be ie: red green blue, other than being same as the body

I think yer GA looks extremely unique, I mean there are AED GA's, SC/T GA's, GASE's, GAGT's and any that I haven't mentioned but yers is one of a kind! :thumbup:

Man I like the way the hood looks. the spoiler is cool ( do they make a single plaine) the r sticker well I won't touch that one, we've already read enough on that. Besides that You have one Sweet GA. Oh yeah keep up the good work.;)

Looks good to me! IF you like the look you got and its what your going for then keep with it! If you want it riced but tastefully then I'd say well done (though I dont consider it riced)

Well I have to say paint the car one color. The hood being black looks off IMHO. If you want to accent the hood and wing in different colors, just do the tip sof the spoiler and maybe accent the hood somehow with black. Maybe like just the tips on the nostrils.

Shawnzilla's original idea about painting the hood scoops black sounds Kick-A$$!!. I kind of like the little red R decal LOL, it makes for a nice contrast. Lovin' the tints: Dark=NIIIICE!!!!... wing.... well, not big on, but looks ok.... i think it's the sides of the wing that throws it off and makes it look like it's got that typical bleacher-seat aluminum ricer effect.

All in all, Nice set of wheels baby gurl! :agree:

Marta, the car looks sick!!! If you did what everybody said, it wouldn't be you. ie: taking off the R stickers or wing, or painting the hood, if you like em, keep em that way. Its all your personality and what you like. Every GA on here is different and I love everyone of them just the same :-D

Just to let everyone know the red "R" stickers have been gone for months now. And it looks alot better without so many distractions for the eye. Especially with so many different colors.

Yah, the spoiler SEEMS a tad large, but the curve it has is a nice touch. Is it really curved, slightly? Don't change it. The black on white effect of the hood just screams: "Hey lookee me! I'm fake carbon Fiber." Paint it white and let 'em eat their hearts out. Overall, you got a nice look.
