Hi,
I need to run to more speaker wire (16guage) from my amp to the front doors of a 2003 Grand AM. Does anyone know how I could do this? The original speaker wires are being used to power a set of components in the stock locations. I am adding a second set to the front doors and need to put in the extra wire.
Thanks.

what you need to do is with the door open, pull off the rubber gromet (accordian looking thing). then take the kick panel off. now you can feed the wire through into the gromet, and through it, adn then into the door. next you can reinstall the gromet.

That's probably a lot easier than how I did it... I taped the speaker wire to a piece of coat hanger and fed it through thr 'accordian'. Never even crossed my mind to remove that grommet.

Its not easy regardless of how you do it. :P I have 2 runs of 12 gauge into each door (one for woofer - one for tweeter) and boy was that a pain. :P

yea i did two runs of 16 gauge and it wasnt easy, you have to bunch up the accordian thing, and its easier to do, but still not easy. once you get one through tho, you can tape the second wire to the first and pull em both through.

Thanks Car Audio Dave....this was easier then I thought..in my previous car there was a connector at the door jamb and in the kick panel, so could not slide wires anywhere.
