i just tapped into each of the interior lights wires and took the bulbs out of the existing lights, so when car door opens i get all the neons, as well it works with the dimmer switch

Cigarette lighter power - it's fused and sitting in the center of the console. Add a switch and run the wires off in any direction.

you say the cig lighter's fuse is right behind the concole? so how exactly do you get to the wires to tap into it?...i'm a newbie but i did use the search button so i can't get yelled at there

The cigarette light fuse is in the engine compartment fuse box.
I cut the wires to the lighter and added quick disconnect terminals to make it easier to remove the trim. The switch is in the roof of the cubby hole under the HVAC panel.

a mini add a circuit is what I used with a 15A fuse. I have four neons running off of it. All it did was have two circuits tapped from one fuse holder

the cig lighter is constant. meaning if you have you're lights wired from it and turn your car off, you're lights will remain on. so you should get a switch if you want to run it off you're cig lighter
