tail light bulbs problem

can anyone tell me what is up with my driver side rear brakelight? it stays lit like all the other lights when the brakes are not applied, but when the brake is applied, it doesnt light up, only the passenger tail brake light lights up. is it bad bubls? but then why are they lit when not pressing the brake? i dont know. help me out.

mine did that and i just changed the bulbs out

had the same exact problem with mine, i just changed the bulbs...after i changed them they lit up when applying the brake.

They are a dual filament bulb, one can burn out leaving only the tail light. For some reason its always the drivers side. I think its a 3157.
