the ever popular suicide trunk, you either like it or you hate it so get ready for possible criticism.

That isn't suicide, it's flip flop. Big difference.

where did you get the kit for it and how hard was it.

i didn't use a kit, it was just measuring and cutting.. it took me about 2 1/2 hours to do it but i'm not done yet just got it to pivot i'm going down to pick up some gas shocks tomorrow so i can mount them up so when i release the trunk it opens to that position automatically..

edit: unless i put the pin in to lock it into the normal position

I will probably go through with it since you have teh ability to change it from stock to the flip flop style

Suicide would open the opposite way.

For example my Fiero has a suicide hood.

i have the "kit" to do this but i'm worried that with my system the lid would rattle more than it already does

i'm coming up with a solution for the loosness (sp) of the lid after doing this mod... i'll let everyone whos interested know how it turns out

5th gens don't need a 'kit' or anything special except a cut off wheel, dremal, or some other way to cut metal.

Neat, I wanted to do that, but everything I've read said it leaks like whoa

washed my car right after i got done doing it and really put some water to the trunk area to see if it would leak and there was not a drop.. so i guess it's pry just how you do it
