Gt Conversion

Here is my story, about 8 months ago my car was keyed, from the trunk, then the right rear quarter pannel, the right rear door, the front right rear door, the front right fender(was down to the metal :( ). Now come about 2 weeks ago my hood was keyed... For some reason people are jealous and have to key the car... But for $500 i can repaint them all, (what i was thinking is that before my insurance agent comes to look at it, maybe some how my front and rear bumpers will get keyed if you know what i mean :) ) saying that happens, i get a gt rear bumper and front bumper, and de rib my car, how would that look...? Personally i hate the front SE bumper

nah, i wasnt saying i was going to do it, im sure it will happen, its been keyed many times for no reason, its bound to get another

I can see a car getting keyed once, randomly, it happens.

But repeatedly and on seperate days? Who did you piss off?

lol, no one, i have an exhaust system which i know people dont like, cuz they have told me a few times, i beleive that it was because of the sound that my car makes... that drives people nuts and causes them to key my car... lol i dont even talk $hit to anyone especially there cars, i keep it to my self.... so thats my theory, idk though.

As far as doing the gt conversion, well keep it legit is all I can say.

If it happens at home...Video camera hooked up to a motion sensor. Catch them, call the police and hit them for everything...plus emotional damages.

im not trying to commit insurance fraud i was just hopeing that some1 would, i dont have the heart to key my own car, and im sure none of you guys do...

Another thing, it happens at school, where i have no evidence :(, the school doesnt even care, they are like (we'll thats what you get for parking here theres nothing we can do) which is complete bull sh!t, because I PAY money to park there...

Even if you did Key the bumpers all they would do it repaint it, why would they replace it for a new bumper :???:

Eric, unless they put a hole in the bumper or smash it there's no reason to replace it. Remember, insurance companies would rather fix something than replace it to save money.

So then just buy the stuff, what's the keying got to do with it? They're not gunna paint it for free

IMO GT conversions are dumb.

By the time you buy the parts, have them painted and installed you could have just bought a GT to begin with. I also think there dumb becuase your just changing out stock for stock, whats the point?

yeh, they will, all you do is install the parts first then have it sent into a paint shop, same price, no different...beside my 500 dollar deductible

yeah i know what you are saying, i was looking at the rksport kit, which is very nice, but the hood for the rksport is 600 dollars,,, half the price of the kit... lame imo but i know i dont have to get the hood, but it would look way nicer.
