For all the fourth gen's, is the bumper on the 96 - 98 the same as the 92 - 95 - minus the different style.

The tails and trunk shouldnt matter........right :???:

they do matter, the bumpers match up to the head lights and tail lights, so if you want to put a rear bumper from a 96-98 you have to get 96-98 tails, trunk and rear quaters, and for the front, you need the hood, fenders and head lights to put a 96-98 front bumper on a 92-95 ga.

Look at turboquads car, he did the conversion on his 95 to the rear. (if you cant see it you need to be a member of Q4F's)

Thanks for the pic

For the front end conversion of the 92 - 95 and 96 - 98 0 - you will only need to change headlights and fenders for the front bumper

I just though for the rear, only the bumper will needed to be changed but the pic you showed has those fins on the bumper

No big deal, cut the little corners off.

For the rear bumper, the only difference is, I believe, the little triangle piece around the corner of the tails.

I have a 92-95 GT rear bumper if ya need one. ;)

The front bumper for the 96-98 has the little piece that goes up where the corner light would be on the 92-98. The rear bumper is different in the same way, the bumper comes up in the corner cause the tail lights are a different shape.

You could do the 96-98 conversion, would look sweet in your color.

and for the front, you need the hood, fenders and head lights to put a 96-98 front bumper on a 92-95 ga.

I'm pretty sure the front fenders are the same on both cars but everything else sounds right. Also is the hood change completely necessary? I think you could get away with the old hood but it would look a little strange, no? Unless the 92-95 hood somehow interferes with the 96-98 headlamps...

I disagree with some people on the fender topic. I tried to put the 98 headlight bracket on the 95 fenders and it didnt work. The hood is needed also because the 'lines' wont line up and the headlight area is different.

You can cut the rear bumper to fit, but if you wish to use 96-98 tails, you'll need the trunk lid too.

Additionally, the 96-98 has an additional support member in the center where the hood rests. The 92-95 lacks this, and the rubber supports are out on the sides behind the headlights.
