need help fuel filter removal

i can't get the green tab off of my fuel filter does anyone have a good way to do it without buying the tool and can i just break it off and what shouldn't i break

DONT BREAK IT!!!

If you do youll have to buy that whole line going back into the tank.


I just pushed the tabs all the way out of the "quick" connect and it worked great for me.

there is only two tabs right when you say push do you mean squeeze in to get them over the rim of the filter

yea squeeze them in and then push them up and they will come out. Its kind of hard to do it but its way easier then trying to do it the right way. Just be careful to not break the tabs.
