Cadillac has been stepping up it's game recently to reestablish it's self as a premium global automaker again. They are doing so by taking great strides in the performance area of their vehicles.

Now for the first time in over 100 years GM will be building the very first Cadillac wagon, named the BLS. The BLS will be built in Sweden for the European market. Which means you are very unlikely to eveer ge a chance to own one in the US. It's based on the Epsilion plateform, yes that means it shares many inpinnings with our beloved G6.

It also has various powertrain options like a turbocharged inline four, or a turbocharged diesel inline four to a turbocharged 2.8 V6. It will go on sale at the end of 2007 in Europe and United Kingdom.

Now for all you without a family and live in Europe don't cry just yet, the BLS does also come in a sedan mine the added cargo room of the wagon.

The sedan looks like the new CTS to me. Not fond of the wagon though.

You can buy that car in the form of the Saab 9-3 SportCombi, I'd take mine with the turbo direct injection 2.8 V6  I love fast wagons, they're the ultimate sleeper.

I notice that GM shorted the Audio system in the caddy.

That is the same radio that is in my G5.

As a Vibe owner, IMO it looks nothing like a Vibe. In fact, it looks a lot nicer than a Vibe to me.

I imagine this Cadillac wagon will compete with Mercedes & BMW wagons. Given the fact that the Euro wagons are few and far between here in the USA. Cadillac does not see a market for them here.

Not that many wagons down South here. Of course, demographics always plays role in the car market. I guess an example would be 4X4 SUV's are less common in the South because of the weather. To me, a 2WD Jeep dosen't make sense. But you'd be suprised how many you see.
