Just recently modified my 04 Grand Am SE. I did all the installation myself and it turned out great. New tires and wheels, and a new body kit. I think I'm gonna change the side skirts. They are pretty plain. Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah, I live in Yardley (Hidden Oaks). I was debating at first whether to buy this kit. Kinda jumped the gun.

Looks like he's got SC/T sides..
Don't like the kit at all, but I like the rims :D

No those are not the SC/T sides but they can be easly mistaken for.. The rims are a great choice! If i were you i would put a Black pontiac symbol in the front of the bumper where its indented and also loose the fog lights

Oh no kiddin? What are they?

Hmm thats a good question Trish :???: You can tell there not the SC/T sides by looking at his picture and then looking at my Sig.

looks like the paint is off a fair amount... the whole kit would look better if you repainted everything and got the fitment right

I agree with the masses on the kit. Honestly, I haven't seen one kit for a GA that looks halfway decent except for one(besides the SC/T). I can't think of the name for it, but it's more rounded and "fits" the car better. Later, QD.

I think he is referring to the AED kit.
The kit is not my cup of tea but if you get more body work done - get rid of those holes in the front bumper.

Yeah, it definately needs some work. I did the painting myself and it didn't really come out too well. Getting that painted professionally now, like I should have. As for the rims, they are Zinik Minardis. They can be found on tirerack.com. I did have a few fitment issues with the kit. The back bumper didn't fit too well, but I did what I could to make it fit. Side skirts were kind of a pain to get on. The whole kit is the Showoff 3 kit. I didn't get the skirts separately. It's a learning experience. Lastly, I'm definately changing the fog lights and those holes in the front bumper gotta go as Tank said. Thanks for replies.
One more thing. Anybody have any good headlight recommendations?

with the black wheels, i would recommend the black housing ones

Thanks Sammy.
BTW, check this website out. They have symbols and covers that are black, chrome black, and reflective black. It's pretty sweet. You can get two different colors for the symbol.

Oh i am excited to see this.. LOVE it! Looks awesome.
Did you have any problems with the kit before you painted it? I have the same one and it definately is requiring a lot of body work?
But looks great! ;)

I think I need to see this kit in person. I can't stand the stock photo's of it and need to see it. Tomorrow night (Thursday) there's a car meet in Holand at Fresh Works, Buck Road I think. Bring it down tomorrow night, I'll be there with either the GA or the Vette around 8:30ish.

what bugs me is that the bumper covers look like they're flaring out and the sides of the car are curved in. thats about the only thing that REALLY bugs me about the kit. other wise its looking pretty good. get some good mesh in the bumpers and fill in the square holes and the font bumper would be fine IMO. as for headlights i HIGHLY recomend what ive got (as seen in my avatar). they look amazing and fit pretty good. i got them from customgrandam.com but i dont think they sell them anymore (thats wat i last heard) ebay may be ur best bet for that. anyways keep up the good work, and good luck.

Does anyone have pictures with those holes covered? My boyfriend agreed that he liked it better like that, and that he would do it for me.
any pics though?

Bella, I didn't have any major problems with the kit before painting. It needed some good sanding. The kit wasn't perfect. Few parts weren't perfectly symmetrical but overall it wasn't too bad. Installing the kit wasn't as bad as some may believe. The side skirts were a little difficult. They didn't fit too good. That's why they seem plain and a little concave. They wouldn't stick out more as I wanted. I'm probably getting new side skirts. And as soon as I get those holes and lights replaced I'll post updates.
As for painting, get it professionally done, unless you have alot of experience. My dad is good with cars and he was positive we could do a great paint job ourselves. Didn't turn out that way. We took our time and did it the right way but the base coat had some runs and the color was a little off. Putting on the clear coat was the worst. Major runs and sanding was a pain in the ass after the fact trying to remove the runs and imperfections. Paying the extra for professional painting is way worth it IMO.
Lastly, I have night classes during the week. I get out at 10:00 on Thursdays. Let me know how late the guys stay.

It was new. Got it for $425.00 (shipping including) on ebay. It was a good price and that's why I jumped on it so early.
And gagt, I had my eye on a few other light sets but I'll let you know when I make a decision.

Not lowered. It's just the kit. It sticks out a little too far. Any more bending and it might crack so I'll have to keep it like that.
Thanks nitro. And I'm getting a black emblem soon. Should look nice.

Can't stand the look of that hideous thing, the rear body panel with that bumper looks like a big curtain hanging down, Props for doing it your self but negative props cause it turned out shitty. Like the wheels tho. Clean your lense.
