Well at 4:00AM this morning i was awoke by my alarm going off in front of my house. I quick jump out of bed to shut off the alarm, At this point i wasnt thinking of anything because usally my cat jumps off the roof of my house and lands on top of my car to get to the ground, and usally he sets the alarm off, so anyways I head outside to see whats going on. As i open the front door i was suprisingly shocked to see this....

I opened my Passenger front door and i see this brick laying in my front passenger seat. So that was throw with alot of force. The rest of the car was spray painted blue with letters not making any sense. The whole car was spray painted besides the front clip. What sucks about this all is its all coming out of my own pocket.Because i only have Liability on the car since my rates would double if i got full coverage.

Not to mention what pisses me off the most is that i just spent $250 3 days ago to get my trunk lid and rear quarter panel painted after shaving the antenna and truck lock. My cousins Mustang who lives down the road from me got all 4 of his tires slashed, whole driver side, and hood keyed, and front window busted out. So today i went to wally world and picked up a nice package deal on a security camera, which i installed today and i really couldent be any happier, especially at night because you can see every thing near the car so it will be easy enough to indentify the victim.

The window has been replaced today. That was around $250 Installed, The paint on the other hand is a bitch to get off. I must of spent 6 hours today detailing the hell out of this car. The paint will come off but it just takes time, Theres always that one spot that you forgot to do. As far as pissing people off, theres none of that. I dont have any enemies, i dont start trouble with anyone, stick to myself kinda of guy. People are telling me this is a hate crime, but i cant honestly think of anybody that i know that could do something like this. Honestly i think jelously plays a good role in this case, Everything that i own On/In this car i bought 100% by myself. Im sure alot of people around my area that think mommy and daddy buy something for my car every week. Little do they know that i work my arse off at 2 different jobs earning money to get throw away for people who belong in jail. If i ever found out who did this i would... The car goes in tomorrow morning for tint which is another $80. Good news is that the back window that they replaced doesnt have the DOT matrix

Ouch. That sucks. But on the positive side, 1 window replacement and a lot of cleaning work isn't so bad. My car has been vandalized more than a few times... once with $4000 of body work to replaced a kicked-in quarter panel. Personally I would have taken the spray paint and glass over that.

Filing a police report would be a good idea, even if you don't need it (no ins. coverage) but they aren't going to care about prints. I don't think you can extract prints from the porous surface of a brick anyway.

Thanks everyone with your imput, I did file a police report and the police told me that they couldnt get prints off of the brick but they could get prints off the spray can (Which i couldnt find). The car is at the tint shop now getting the back window retinted. Ill get some recent shots later today. And Joe,Mike, And John i appreciate the offer but buy saturday it should be mostly off if not all. And John i might have to take that offer on the high speed buffer.The stuff im using on the car to get off the paint is called ****. Its pretty much like Goo-Gone. I was afraid of the **** eating away at the clear coat but till now it looks okay. After everything is done im going to clay bar and wax so she should be restored back to normal..Well at least i hope so that is :(

that is so messed up! it does suck you didnt have full coverage but at least the paint is coming off it sounds like. a few years ago the day before i left for college, i had someone smash out the passenger windows in my 95 grand am and lumina in the driveway along with punching out the trunk lock and ripping apart my back seat (when there was a quick release under the dash). they got away with my whole system right before i woke up from hearing them doing it as i ran out the door but insurance covered it... i hate some people, its so wrong and there just isn't enough punishment even if they do get caught.

As for the paint if ur having trouble gettin the spray paint off use some thinner just don't push real hard while rubbing it out with the thinner then buff it back, same with the rims, minus the buffing, if they are chrome or stainless u should have no problem using thinner on them. good luck

well it started right up, ran for about 3 seconds then died.

I tried everything I know of to get a vehicle to start and it simply wouldnt...finally I got pissed off and said mom take your POS Ford to a shop...well the mechanic started removing fuel lines and then discovered they were full of water...he had to drain and clean out the whole fuel system....luckily insurance covered it as vandalism, even paid for a rental too

She got the van back and its hard to start...as in it takes 5-10 seconds or more of cranking for it to fire...so its back in the shop now...I have no clue whats wrong with it...other than that runs fine tho...i think it may have something to do with having had water in it

Like everyone else....sorry to hear about your car man. That is some crude work at hand. Buy a gun. When I lived in E-town, my old S-15 got broken into and vandalized and it was the worst feeling in the world. I dont live in a big city anymore because I hated the thought of it happening again. I had a set of motegi rims that overspray on them and I used strong solvent cleaner on them and it removed the overspray without damaging the original finish. It worked well. I have a 2000PSI wash gun at my shop too and that worked well. Bug and tar remover might help as well. Thats about all the advice I have man...good luck and your ride is one of my top5 on the site man.

UPDATE: 10/31/07 Here are a few recent shots so far. Im sorry it took so long its just been so busy for me lately. Most if not all the paint is off by now, it took me a couple of days to get all the paint off. I had a new window put in the day after it happened, and tint, a new eyebrow came shortly after. Shes back to normal now! Im glad that i restored her back. I havent had the time to claybar or wax the car yet. But that will happen soon because she only has a couple more weeks before she if off the road for the season. I will have updated pics Monday afternoon since im going to a car show in Long Island Sunday. So wish me luck and thanks for everybodys concerns

Thanks everyone, I ordered a new sticker off of Graphx works', Thanks anyways! The paint is all off for the most part and i spent prolly around 6+ hours getting it to look like it did before. As for the plate i switched over insurances so i could get full coverage with out getting ass raped. I plan on getting a new plate shorty. And for the headlights i still need a dremel to dremel out my new headlights for the strobe lights. John sorry about last sunday i had to go to a suprise birthday party for my 80 year old Grandma :lol:

wow man, i could not begin to think of what i would do if i came out to my car looking like yours did. i mean being you are only a year older than me. but i look up to how well you treat your car. i just was in a wreck not that long ago and my front of the car was messed up which ill have to pay a deductable for but im getting a AAS front bumper ;). but people that are as low as to creep around vandalising others property, wtf is wrong with them? are they just scum or jealousy? jeese it just makes me so mad.

but grats to you for your hard work at restoring it! i know u will find those people that did it, and i know you will have tonsa fun! ;)

but....: im sorry to hear what happened to your car, and jsut some advice. im not sure about NY but in PA if you have a security system even on your own property you have to have signs posted stating you have video survaliance or else that evidence cant be used against them if they were to get caught.

hmm, never heard about that (as im in pa) but i will look it up. in that case looks like im gunna have to put some signs up, maybe hide them a little ;)
