I saw this at the Chicago Auto Show some years back, just curious to know if GM ever made a limited edition number of these cars , or if it simply fizzled out. It would be quite cool regardless to have a GA Convertible.
From what I can see in the pic the sunfire kit certainly made it to production.

That was one of the original SC/T concept cars, and no, it was never produced.

It wouldn't take lottery winnings, just a lot of skill, time, and effort. There was a '94 convertible built already by one of our members. :)

thats like the beretta convertable that GM never made.
same design with the hoop in the middle.

Of course, that "hoop" is it's structural integrigty.
Without it the chassis would be a flexible as a wet noodle.

ive seen a custom grand am that was a roadster. i had a pic on my old computer of it from a show, but i havnt been able to find it again. it was two tone silver/green.
