I have a friend with a 94 Grand Prix GT and the ABS light is on. I just did the brakes on the car. I LET NO AIR IN THE SYSTEM!!!!! I test drove it and the brakes work fine. There is no brake pull in hard braking. What can cause this light and what does it mean.?

It means that the ABS is somehow malfunctioning. What did you do, exactlym while "doing the brakes"?

Make sure the connector plug was not pulled out or damaged. It is on the back of the brake backing plate connected to the bearing. Check all 4 to be sure.

I pull the tires off, Removed the caliper and pull the pads off. Compressed the caliper and replaced the pads. I never removed or loosen the brake line hose. I drove it up to about 25mph and then mashed the brakes and it stop on a dime. The resivoirs is full too. The brakes feel great to me but he worried about it. I told him I check into it for him.

:hmmm: not sure, it could be malfunctioning after you changed them...? is it the first time you did it on the car? or did you change them previous?

might have damaged / disconnected one of the abs sensors. on the older cars the sensors are external, Also check the rings on the CV halfshafts in the front, they sometimes get rust buildup behind them and crack.

if all looks good, try resetting the EBCM by unplugging it for a few. then plug it back in and see if the light comes back on.

Where do i find that plug in...because my ABS light is also on...aswell as my E-brake light...and both work fine..the guy I baught it from said its just the sensors that are ****ed...but those are expensive..any other ways to fxing it?

Could be possible that your e-brake is not disengaging fully.

Lies. I've done this numerous times on several different cars and never got any pulsing or warpage afterwards. Maybe it alters the runout slightly, but not enough to be felt through the pedal.

The rotors would only warp if they were crap to start with .
