Insurance ended up totaling the GA. I got $3021 for it. I have been shopping for a new car since. I had my heart set on an F-body and that is what I got.

I got it for $6000.

I am gonna keep the mod's minimal. I know I want a billet grille. Aside from that all other mods will be performance oriented. Starting with a Magnaflow cat-back.

my uncle has a 95 SS with the old 5.7L is that the LT motor? Im not sure, but it is really nice, Bose sound system and very nice bucket seats!!! Its T-Tops as well...

I went to check it out yesterday and the car looks and drives beautifully. I can't wait to take her home.

When the V6 dies, then I may consider an LS1 swap. But by then I will probably be looking to replace it with the new Camaro.

Wow, that antenna make the car look more like an RC car than the GA. That is gonna be the first mod. Removing the antenna.

We do not allow talk of head-to-head racing outside the racing section, and we do not allow talk of street racing anywhere. Saying 'this car is faster than that car' or 'this car will eat that car' is also not acceptable here.

The reason I wanted the 6 is this...
1. Better gas milage
2. Cheaper than Z28
3. Only RS has the lower trim
4. Insurance is less

I'm usually not picky, but the SS didn't officially come back till the 96 year, but you're right on the motor, LT1. Still a pretty good motor, they're tough as hell. Not quite as fast right out of the box as the LS series. Just a good ol heavy iron block motor :P

Nice car. Only one of my 7 F-Bodies was a V6 and that was because it was my wife's first car and we got a killer deal on it. I laughed everytime I opened the hood because it looks like they forgot something in front of the motor. Like 2 more cylinders. lol

200hp in a Camaro is about good for mid to high 15s in stock form.

The car looks nice, however it's no Z28 or SS. Just because it's a FBody don't let it go to your head.

my opinion is, they bought it for some reason. if they buy a nice car and trash it thats one thing, but if they buy a car that i wouldnt, i dont see a point is messing with them about it. obviously 99.999% of the people on this site have a different taste in cars than me, but dont bug them that their cars arent fast enough or anything.

shawn, thats a good rule about not talking about racing. it gets out of hand on the camaro forums. I just wonder where the line is drawn because i didnt see any racing comment, it just looked like a comparison (a bad one at that) to put the car into perspective. i could and probably am wrong tho. :P

Dave do me a favor and go back into my post and tell me where I stated that he should have bought a Z28 or SS.

He made several statements like getting vanity plates that say "MSTNGETR" and "...the V6 can eat 5.0 mustangs". Those statements are why I drew attention to the fact he only has a V6 and not a Z28 or SS yet he has the mentallity that he does.

Oh and Dave if you want a good story PM and me and I'll tell you the day my buddy Gus was driving his 9 second Mustang and rolled up on a IROCZ with "PONYEATR" on the license plate.

If you are going to have something like that on your license plate you better have the right stuff under the hood to back it up or you'll get laughed at.

Well, I brought her home on Sunday. She drove like a dream aside from some vibration at higher speeds. Gonna get her registered today and finally park my heap of a GA.

I just started my mods by purchasing a billet grille this morning. It's only the beginning.
