2002 GT1 Won't Start

Hey folks,

Last night went out to my car, turned the key and nothing. Lots of juice just absolutely no action when turning the key. Almost acting like it is in Drive where everything lights up just not turn over. Didn't notice if the security light was flashing but was wondering what possible issue this could be? Starter?

I'm going back to try it again but any suggestions would be most welcome.

The 10 minute rule worked. Started after that.

My 2000 GT1 was doing that too..... I'd have to leave the key on for 10 minutes then restart. Luckily I had an extended warranty and the dealer installed a new ignition cylinder and cut me two new keys. I believe he called it a "passlock" problem.

I didn't have to pay anything, but I glanced at the paperwork and it was a bit over $400.00 if I had to pay for it. So I'm glad it wore out while I was warranty'ed; didn't cost me anything...

if you cant get it to start sometimes, just have some1 hit the starter when you are turning the key and it should work again, but normally then u need a new starter..
