When I drive with the heat on, sometimes I don't get heat out of the vents. My temp guage starts going a couple notches above 200, and I can turn my temp knob to cold and back to warm and I get warm air, and my guage goes down. Is this a sign of a clogged thermostat bypass, a clogged heater core, or some other problem? Thanks for the help guys, heat is a good thing in cold weather with leather seats.

my problem is with the ac..actually sometimes my heat isnt that great...a buddy of mine owns a repair shop..he mentiond my hvac control was jacked..either the vacuum hoses or the hvac controls themselves..you shuld also check all your heater hoses..iv had to replace mine twice already..run your fingers along the hose

What exactly am I looking for when running my fingers along the heater hose? Just heat, or am I feeling for moisture? Could an air bubble cause this? I bled the system thinking it would help, because the mechanic that did the LIM for my aunt didn't bleed the system, and switched to green coolant, so I might redo the LIM job just to make sure, and probably switch back to Dex-cool.
