I was looking for parts for my girlfriends SE when i stumbled over this...

It looked like someone just threw glitter over a stickey clear coat. I kinda like the fiberglass hood, if only it was functional...

A guy up the street has one like it but the hood is red and the scoop is black.

Not that I would put such a thing on my car, but is the scoop on the grey car functional? Obviously it wouldn't force air into the engine, so by functional I mean to cool the engine bay only. It might just be the black vinyl and shadows throwing me off though.

I wish we had newer GAs in the j/ys here. All we have in the yard run by nice folks is older cars. The yard run by *******s has Tauruses and Sebrings (Ex-rental cars), and that's about it.
