is it worth spending the extra money to get a L7 over an L5?? or is there something better i could get for $300-$500?? im looking at one 12'' sub with box

by sq u mean sound quality right and whats spl?? and im looking for a little of both is an L5 or L7 right for that or do u recommend something else?? and is getting the L7 worth the extra 100 or not??

Well those subs get loud but from what i have heard they sound like crap, i would say get a FI Q, great sq and nice spl as well.

L7's get very loud for the power given to them...Sq is not crap...just not great...

A Fi Q would be a great daily sub...

well they might sound not great to you but to my ear they sound like crap, just my opinion though, u can get a 12 fi q for 259 then have abox made or make a box to its specs and it will sound good with a 1000 rms to it

L7s have a lot better sq then the L5s. They are still SPL subs but one of the best sq that you can get with subs that hit that loud. I had 2 L7s for about 2 years now and just sold them. The reason I got rid of them is that 2 in a grand am was way too loud for me.

who makes the fi q and is the extra money for the L7 worth the little bit of extra sound quality?? and what is spl mean?? something about loudness i imagine

spl = sound pressure level...its how loud the system gets. this is usually measured on a decimeter in incrememnts of dB or decibels.

i say if you want sound quality then stay away from the kickers. i personally am a fan of Image Dynamics, JL audio, crystal (dont hear them mentioned much anymore), PPI, and Boston Acoustics.

you really cant go wrong with any of those brands, as long as you get the best sub fro them that you can afford.

Dont get an L5 or an L7...

I use to have 4 L7's in my yukon...very loud...but when i switched to my BL's still very loud with much better sounding bass....

the only problem is that i get my car audio stuff from etronics.com and they dont carry that brand do u reccomend any other subs?? i like the look of a square sub nut dont have to have one any 12'' sub that is a popular brand for around 300-500 will work

why do u have to buy from there? Looked at their site seems like on of those cheap places. As in u can look around and do better.

that website may look cheap but its a great place to get car audio. its not a great place to look at products but to buy them it fine as long as u know the serial #. My dad gets all his stuff from there and they have very good deals and everything arrives in a short time. The prices are about $20 to $150 dollars off of things.

could u recommend any other name brand subs?? and do u know of any other websites with discount prices?? also if im gonna get one would u say L7 or L5?? is the L7 worth the extra money

there is so many better subs out there but if ur set on that site i guess kicker is the best they have.

Alpha's are nice subs as well...Kinda power hungry but nice...
