That looks really nice. Pontiac is stepping there game up. Wish we could say the same for the G5..

thats sick, it would look just as good as a 2 seater. needs more power though, something like 400hp+ sounds good to me.

That's even worse than the older ones. Aside from the front lip, looks good, hate the lights and hate the rest of it... too bad. Sight veil is a great thing in a car, and Solstice just doesn't have it. The new one obviously does but it's just twice as ugly :S

It would have looked better as a 2-seater.

Ish... Not a fan of the Solstice in any way. Test drove one and just couldn't stand it. Felt too cramped and too "tubular"... I'm 6'.
As for exterior looks, I like the Sky better.

... I agree but it would still be fairly ungly

Looks like it will mainly be a race car to replace the current Formula D Solstice cars.
290 HP Ecotec doesn't sound bad though :).

I wonder what it would take to get GM to tack two more cylinders on the end of the 2.0L, making it a 3.0... keeping boost the same, figure that would make somewhere in the range of 380-390 horses...

I'm torn.
Pros-
-Pontiac is doing something at least. The division needs to shake things up
- that something is performance oriented
- This car may inspire or be directly related to future race versions
Cons-
- It's too far out there to really affect the consumer market
- it may get negative attention to the brand based on looks (Aztec anyone)
- it's still an ecotec. Put a big block in it and make something special. A modern incarnation of the AC Cobra.

True, but this car does look really really nice, and its definitely got an engine with potential. I would say it would be more like a flagship car or something now that the GTO is gone, kind of like the vette of the pontiac brand.

x2. Would easily be the best Solstice I've seen yet had they not messed with the windshield/interior config.

Which is why I wish it were toned down. To be a flagship it has to be in production, even limited production. I see that car as a see it now forget it in six months sort of thing.
Personally I'm waiting for the Solstice coupe to hit the market. Power that thing up and that can be a corvette killer.

Yep. A LSx in the Solstice is dangerous to many vehicles.
Very light body+powerful engine= performance orgasm.

Wow, um, cool but I'm not sure how usable 900 HP would be in a small roadster like that.

Also true, i was thinking about that when i saw it too i guess, its another awesome concept car that will never see the light of day. Like the SC/T
I hope they do something good with this, maybe put a good (read:fast as hell) engine in it. Without the GTO we've got a gap to fill.

Probably not very useable. IIRC, the stock 505HP LS7 was able to kick the wheels loose through the first three gears if you mashed the throttle.

Adjustable traction control FTW.

AWESOME!
Nothing like classic roadracing style on a roadster.
A white circle on the door with a bold number and some electrical tape on the headlights and you're ready to hit the track vintage style!
Bitches don't know about that shit.
