My friend has seen my car and wants what I have I need a somewhere on my his car(a G6) to get electricity from how many amps can I draw from the cig lighter without burning his car down?

:lol::lol: i dont think the fuse box is in the owners manual, but ill bet he can find the location in there.
you are better off getting power from the connection to the fused panel that should be under the hood. there should be a connection coming directly from the battery. youll need to run a fuse if you use that.

heh, yeah, that kinda came out wrong. :lol: That's what I meant.
And you're right too, the cigarette lighter is a terrible place to get power for high-draw devices. If it's something that draws a lot of power, I'd recommend connecting directly to the battery with a large-gauge wire and an inline fuse close to the battery, such as would be used to an audio amplifier.

Yeah, the Cig Lighter source is only good for small things... like hardwired Radar Detectors, neons, and other things with a low power draw.

you should be fine, but it'll be ghetto, tap it off those wires and run it, don't plug it in.
