I haven't posted on here alot yet but now things are calming down and i'm finally getting time to work on my car, things are mostly stock right now but i'll be fixing that asap. Buying everything myself may take awhile but the results will be well worth it.

the only real drawback to the car is I recently found out the previous owner, replaced the stock engine with a salvage engine, so I have no idea how many miles the engine on it.

Yeah i agree with Darrin. It looks fine as it is now but if you add too much red its going to look like crap

Found a sweet deal on a borla full cat-back exhaust system at AutoAnything.com and I decided to purchase it so I can replace the 7 year old exhaust on my GA. Will have pics up after install (which should be this friday) as well as updated pics of my interior(I'm sure some will say I over-did it but opinions are still welcome).

I like it, but IMO, GT tails would have looked a lot cleaner. And if you can't afford that body kit, you could always make it look like a GT.

Are you sure it will work with the 2.4L? I've seen the Borla system before, but it's only for the 3.4L V6. You might have back pressure problems.

The website I purchased it from says fits both 2.4 and 3.4 models, but if there are issues I'll just have to take it to the guy who I'm having install it and hell straighten it out.

thats nice to know, I haven't noticed any negative differences /9besides the one mentioned below), but def. some positive ones. If anyone else has the borla system maybe you've had this problem or maybe someone knows how or has an idea as how to fix this. I've got an idea but I'm just kinda fishing for other options.

It may have to do with that swapped engine .....

02-11-2008, 03:21 PM
Holy crap! You need brackets under there ASAP! But I don't understand why it would sag like that. That's about the spot where my glasspack sits, and it's fairly heavy and it doesn't sag. I'd take it back and tell them to fix it.

Cats on in the same location on both engines since this doesn't go back to the manifolds won't make a difference.

Yea I'm takin it by tommorow for a fix, def. got to get it fixed before I put the eibach springs on. As for the sound, it's got a nice rumble but not obnoxiously loud. I'll be sure to post up a sound clip or video as soon as I can.

my exhaust did that when i cut off the resonator and trie to create my own exhaust, i would say the pipe needs to be set better and the clamps need to be tightened a lot, that might help.
Also why did they install the muffler that way, I am not sure if the borla is setup up to be installed that way but wow the pipe from the cat goes way back then the pipe where the tip is connected is behind the inlet pipe.
My explanation doesn't make sense just look at the picture to see what I am inquiring about.
Nice goin though man the ride looks pretty nice man, keep up the good work and representin the GA crowd well.

Yea at first I was WTF is he talking about, then I understood. Yea I dunno if it was meant to be installed like that but I like the way it turned out, I think it makes the tips look like they were supposed to go there.

This may have been covered at another time in another thread but I couldn't find it.
I am looking to convert my manual windows to power windows, I know I'll need the door panel without out the hole for the crank and the correct door bezel with the switchs, aswell as the power window regulator. Is there anything else I will need?(plz don't say wiring, thats obvious)

So, I've been kinda torn over weather or not to remove car's molding or not and I figured it would look good if the door and front fender were smoothed out, this might have been done already but I haven't seen it that much, if anyone know how much this could possibly cost I would appreiciate it very much.
