does anyone know where i can get a install kit to put a 7" LCD screen in the dash of my GAGT... what i want to do is move the CD player and the heater controls down by the shifter... ebay got nothing... I currently have this screen in my 96 sunfire on the sunvisor but it won't fit the one for the GA and i don't want to hack on the factory ring or cut up the dash behind the ring only to find that i did it wrong.

Your not going to be able to just drop the screen into the dash and call it a day. your 99 GA's dash is going to be a bit smaller (1 1/2 DIN) If you had a double did opening, found in the newer GA's it'd be a lot easier to get your screen in their. Not saying it can't be done now, just not as easily.

Yep, you could buy the double DIN radio bezel for the later models and rig something up. That's been done but obviously there's some modifying involved.

I agree, flipout still looks tricked out. If you want...JVC now has a deck, 1 1/2 DIN...the screen is bassicly centered on the deck...square screen...bassicly the hole 1 1/2 DIN high...so its the same distance wide...its got bluetooth, NAVIGATION...plays DVDs and CDs...same as the flipoouts and what not...just the screen isnt as big and its not touchscreen, its 1300$ CDN. You can also get bassicly the same thing by ULTIMATE for 300$ CDN...but it doesnt have navigation....Im still into the nice big flipouts...but...if you really dont want it to flip out...there are other options...just reduced in size.
