Ok, heres what I was thinking of doing. I want to get some kid of suspended shelf for under my glove box that I can hang my xbox on. I will hook that up to a 7.2" LCD Screen with no glare. I would also put green neon lights around my xbox. The LCD itself is $109.00 marked down from $799 at www.tundraelectronics.com. Good idea, Bad Idea? Some feedback would be helpful or ideas for something else. Thanks.

As an XBox owner, I think the Xbox is too bulky and heavy to fit in a Grand Am. The most fun I ever have on my XBox is playing multiplayer games with my buddies. I don't even know if you could fit a front seat passenger after putting an XBox PLUS the shelf under the glove box. It might be cool to do for a show or something, but completely impractical.

yeah, i think it would be cool but for a daily driver, it just doesnt go. I have been thinking about doing something like that but i just stop. I mean taking it out, putting it in the car, (cuz you it gets hot here). running the powersource. aahhh too much. i will just play multiplayer on my tv at home.

... wouldn't it be more feasible to simply mount the 'unit' in the back and run the controller wires to the front??

yeah, thats right. but having the Xbox in front would give easier access. I dont know. i like the idea but just seems liek a lot of trouble.

that lm71 sucks if that is what you are talking about. I wouldnt ever buy any legacy LCD anymore. Power acoustik makes pretty nice quality tv's and are decently priced.

i dunno if its worth the money, but if you really wanted to do it i would suggest the following....

1. Get a ps2. ALOT smaller

2. mount it in the trunk.

3. Get the wireless controller adapter and just have the small console box on the back, by the rear window or run it up to on the dash.

4. Do you live in your car?

I actually plan on using a ps2 in mine and I'd like to mount it under my driverside seat if possible. The monitor, I was going to flush that into the dash right infront of the passenger side (on the 85-91's there's a flat pannel here thats screaming monitor!)

then again all this is going to take money and I'm to poor to do it at the moment. lol

hey man...i was in the same situation you're in....I think the best way to go is to just save up your money, sell ur cd player and get a indash lcd w/ single cd receiver...then mount your xbox under you passenger seat...if the wires are annoying you can now buy the cordless controllers. Thats just the way i would go...but it is a little more money
