It has finally been unveiled, on Oct 31, at the SEMA Show. I dont know what you all think about it, but i think it looks HOT, most people for some reason think it looks plain jane, true it does look like the old model quite alot, the new front looks Camryish, which is nice, and the butt has a cutout for the exhaust whis is nice.... As for the interior, more luxurious than the old model, although overall it is about the same size. I am already eying the sexy blue, XRS model, with a stickshift, moonroof, Black leather, no Nav though, that is pointless... Well what are your thoughts...

The way i see it my car is worth 14k now, so maybe 12k in Feb, when it comes to the dealer. A loaded XRS maybe 18-20K, by then i could pay cash cuz i have over 4K saved right now, but i have it all for college, so maybe a small loan with the parents cosigning on would be in order. A great way to establish good credit for myself, i could take out a 3 yr loan, and pay it off quicker, great way to boost my credit score into the 800's and keep it there!!! P.S. I paid cash for my car, so it is paid off...

The car... Nice improvement in style. The 2.4 from the Scion tC seems like an obvious choice for it. The front reminds me of the new Camry (which is finally not bland like all the older Camry's) but with a hint of Mazda 3. The rear looks too much like the older Corolla, and I don't like the those little bunghole reflectors. The doors suffer from the recent Japanese import-style "it begs for scratches and dings" flat/featureless look.

Financially... You're 18, don't buy a new car. College is expensive enough, so I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to "build credit" that does not involve anything car related. If you have savings, put it all towards college. (My college loan payments are more than my car payments - I wish I had more saving before college, and I'm thankful I always had sub-$7,000 cars during college) If your current car is 14k, then you already have a car more expensive than any car I ever purchased. I bet the Corolla you have is plenty reliable will remain so for the duration of college. A brand new one will likely get beat up and/or vandalized at college. (freshman year 1 parking lot hit and run, when I got the GA it was vandalized twice during college)

Trust me on this, buying a new car makes you VERY paranoid.

Looks like someone stuck a Camery in a compactor.
Its still a chick's car.
Funny you say that a girl at my work "loves her little 'S'".
