which is the correct harness to use, i do have the chimes, but no onstar or monsoon. i went in to the local shop today and they said that if i didnt use the one to retain the chimes (which was very expensive, $100 ish) that i would also loose other features on the vehicle as well. they were very unprfessional and down right rude, when asking for an alternative. they said it would cause incorrect warning lights on the dash, and loss of the diognostics(s/p) for general maintnace on the car. sounds like a line of b.s. but i wanted to make sure. there is no way i am buying their harness regardless, but i wanna make sure i do get the correct one. if the cheaper one will work and all it does is disable the chimes i can live with that, but if it is going to cause other issues then i will get the more expensive one. its my gf's car so i dont wanna mess anything up on it, as i have never dealt with this new of a car before. also where is a good place to order one, as i am sure they can be found online for much cheaper than my local shop.
on a side note is this becoming a common thing with newer vehicles, because it seems to be a real pita....
