There is no way to prove if these mods did anything for my car since I have long since moved on, and a butt dyno is pretty much the same as having a close buddy kick you in the nuts, you may feel something, but it proves nothing.
1. With the stock non-Ram Air setup, remove every piece of piping leading up to the resonator box. The theory behind this is that less restrictive piping still in place means less work for the engine to pull air into it. Again, just a theory, nothing I have proven with a real dyno.
2. Remove the weather stripping near the wipers under the hood. Again, this is just a theory (can I really stress this too much?). The principle behind this is as you are moving forward, this works as a vented hood and allows cold air to blow over the engine to help keep it cool. The only notice after this mod is that it takes longer for the car to warm up during hot days, and does little to nothing on those cold start up days/nights. Also, there has been no water/snow going down into the motor/electronics to cause any problems with this.
So this is all I have. After searching, I have noticed, much to my dissatisfaction, that no one had listed anything like this before. Granted, these mods aren't gonna allow the engine to see the same gains as I/H/E setup or any other mods that cost money, but help you utilize the power that is already there and is being restricted. And of course, tune-ups will also help engine performance, but again those cost money.
If you have anything else to add, or anything that can show how these are not benificial please post up, I'm always open to criticsm (I'm an English Major and face it everyday and am used to even the harshest words).
