Why would you change out a perfectly broke in engine?!?!?! Seriously. I had 160k miles on mine when I gave it to my brother and he has since rolled over 165k with no problems at all.

if properly maintained and not abused shouldnt have a problem.

make it 250,000 and never open the hood? i highly doubt it.

i know of 3 trucks just off the top of my head that made it over 200,000 without any major problems. my truck made it to 215,xxx. dad's Z71 is around 201,xxx without any major problems, and my grandpa's silverado made it WELL over 300,xxx without any problems.

just keep everything maintained, keep fresh fluids in it, and i dont see why it wouldn't last. :???:

my sister had a 94 with a 4 cylinder that was at 260,000 miles. She got rid of it because the body was extremely rusty, the engine was still going though.

everyone could be wrong, and they may be right, no one exactly knows how long your engine will last, could die on you tomorrow who the hell knows? Did you have the car since day 1 and you maintained it ever since? There is no real way of telling.

cars dont have expiration dates...if they are maintained properly they can last as long as you need them to...like stated, if you own a car and never pop the hood...150,xxx is not likely....i pop my hood damn near every day and just check my oil, just to make sure....but then again i did just have the motor rebuilt..

My 94 Sunbird has 256,000km on it. Still going strong. Rust is the most major concern, and its not a concern. Now that I'm getting my GAGT, the SunBird is going to my Dad. She's ready to go for at LEAST two or three more years.

I have 175,000 miles on mine and it runs great. The only thing that I have changed is minor things that go out. I am getting the engine and tranny rebuilt while I have the money. I am pushing to get at least 300,000 out of it.

take care of it and change oil and it will last. I have a 2002 grand am gt with 280,000 and still going strong. I use this car for work and change the oil every month. I avg 5,000 miles a month. Even the body still looks good. You would never know it had that many miles by looking at it. Good luck

My first car was an '83 Pontiac Parisienne that had 330,000 miles on it. It ran great until I put it into the back of an Escort.
