Aftermarket HU and Controls

OK i want to get an aftermarket HU (Pioneer DEH-P6900UB) but i have the speaker controls on the steering wheel. I heard they wont work with an aftermarket HU, is there any way I could make them work?

There's an interface you can get which allows you to get them back. Around $50 I believe.

^^True...Also I believe pioneer makes a steering wheel control...kinda tacky looking tho
