sometimes when i'm driving on the highway and accelerating in 4th gear, the car will go up to about 3,000 rpms and stop accelerating. I have to let of the gas and push it again to get it to go. Is this something serious or just a downshift?

Are you hitting 105 mph, perhaps?

no. I learned something today though. Transmission fluid is supposed to be red. Mine looked like oil. It has been like that for a long time b/c i didn't know. It was really thick too. Now the car shifts better and accelerates better. it was $76. reg. price was $89 but Valvoline was having a 20% off sale.

w/ new fluid and filter. It was the cheapest place i could find. They took $18 off b/c of a sale. Does that sound expensive. I have heard that the fluid and filter are expensive.
