You can use the 70-2003 harness, but you will have to find a switched 12v power source and will lose your chimes. So plug and play and pay, or slightly rewire under the dash and lose warning chimes.

Yeah, either your sunroof or your windshield wipers seem to work best.

so...basically..just get the harness that's like 20 bucks...wire it like you do any other car...but attach a 12v source to it?....i understand how to get the 12v source but where do i put it exactly...i really dont like the idea of paying 100 bucks for a wiring harness when all the other ones are like 20 bucks

I know the one you are talking about, but it just seem too cheap to me at $30.

Is that a question?
You can thank GM for the complication. Starting in 2001 with the Databus wiring system, they ran the warning chimes through the factory stereo, Monsoon or otherwise. It's these chimes that are the cause of the complication.
Still not as bad as the 2007 Montana van we just rented 2 weeks ago. Someone thought it would be a good idea to run the read A/C controls through the accessory DVD player. Talk about necessary complications!

Buy the schoche kit from Wal-Mart, I have it in my '04 GA. It has a weak sounding chime, but who cares, it chimes, and you can install an aftermarket head unit, plus it's a resonable price.

Thankyou for refurring my dash kit/harness thread. Alot of very simple questions are easily answered if you'd all jsut take a look atthe stickied threadds at the top of the Car Audio Forum.
