Hi everyone.
As part of my welding class I'm taking in College right now, I've been given the okay to make a custom cold-air intake for my 95 GA V6.
The only problem is...the intake system itself seems a little confusing.
Everytime I look at the intake system, I just mifs me.
The problem is that the airbox itself is fed by a smaller intake tube that seems to disappear into the fender and behind the battery.
I was wondering if anyone knew where the pipe led and began so I know what I have to take into account when I'm fabricating the whole coldair intake system for my car.
If it helps, the system is going to use 3" piping to match the stock throttle body diameter.
Thanxs for all your help everyone.

It goes right where you discribed, between the inner fender and outter fender.

So if that's where the intake tube starts, then there should be the opening to let the air in then, correct?

If that's the case then, I'll probably just route the system so my air filter is situated in the lower radiator opening in the bumper, as was my origanul idea.

But thanxs for your help. It was very helpful and I really appreciate.

Only the opening behind the headlight allows air in. The tube routing down to the fender houses a resonator box that is sealed. (Its purpose is to cancel out sound waves / silence the engine sound)

You don't want to put the intake into the middle by the radiator. That is too difficult and the tubing config will be too convoluted to be effective. A better plan is to use the hole routing down into the fender and put a cone filter where the resonator / silencer used to be.
