Wow thats a nice price...you guys seen the Mach 5 MAW-12s that you can get for less than 100 shipped? I hear they are comparable to alot of good 200+ dollar subs. But yea Im about to pick up 2 of these this is cheap!!

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=1&woofer_imp=3 should be the same as two 2 ohm subs.

Only if you buy 2 and wire them in 2 ohm stereo mode. Most amps are only stable down to 4 ohms when in bridged mono mode.

With two single 2 ohm speakers you cannot get a 2 ohm load on a mono amplifier. Parallel gives you 1 ohm, series gives you 4 ohms.
So if you have a 2 channel amp you could bridge it or run them straight into separate channels. :)

Yea ED has some good specials every now and then. I usually go to their site every now and then and type special/specials in the search box and every now and then they have a deal like this.

Well lol 10,000w system is very loud, thats very very loud lol. I didn't know if wanted a lot of bass or just a little added bass. But they look alright for the price your paying. If you don't want that much bass then these will do fine for you. So i take it u just want a little bumb in your music. I don't know how reliable they are or how long they last. But goodluck, let me know how they are if you get them, i would like to know. :)

for the price u cant beat it, ed makes some good products, these subs would be great for a lil bump like said before or even for a home system. But ed is a good company just not well heard of.

if i had the money i would buy them, but i am so short on cash it aint funny. more concerned about buying rims and snow tires from a friend if he decides to sell them, and if not then ill save it. i got subs now, just wanted to get these and try out fiberglassing some pods. maybe when i get some more money :kickcan:

Wow, that's pretty cheap. Someone should buy them and tell us how they sound.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a sub for less than $100, but if it works, then it works.

or run them straight into separate channels. :)

that's a very bad idea....You'd end up with each voice coil playing separate things....that=sub *kapoof*

Got mine...for the power i was giving them (200rms per) very very efficient, on the same level as an AA Assassins or RE RE..but there are alot of car audio noobs in here so they may not no what those are either...Lets just say there are only 1 or 2 subs at Butt Buy that will out do these and for the money none of them will.....saying the sub will be crap?? and saying u wouldnt pay under $100per sub?? Just because a sub has a high price on it doesnt make it a high quality sub...and just because a sub is 500watts doesnt mean it will be louder then a 200watt sub...so many factors play into the equation its ridiculous to think thats all someone would base there sub on..

I totally agree with u. Its Like the other day i was at a local stereo shop and the guy working asked me what subs i was running and i said a 15" FI Q and he was like whats that? Never heard of that brand did u get it off ebay or something? Of course they specialize in jl audio. Its funny because for the money i dont think there are very many subs as good as FI its just the are not well known because they are internet based and not shop based.

Those were SVC subs... I know they're wording is a little weird but when the voice coil config says S2 it means single coil 2 ohm.

sorry, I just read the post and responded, I didn't pay attention to the page that said what kind of coils were actually on the sub. I just thought we were talking about wiring one sub...not 2....my bad :)

The wiring link I gave was for one sub with a DVC setup, but if hooking it to a mono signal with two single coil subs it should be the same.

yeah....I install stereos and lighting as a side job. I'm also on an audio team and in the process of building a mod car....I know a little bit about wiring subwoofers...I just simply didn't look at the specs real hard

Just seems to me that the "crap" claim was made with no reason whatsoever other than the fact that the poster has never heard of ed.

The specs on the sub look pretty good to me. FS of 25 Hz, almost 3/4" of total excursion, etc. But I don't build car subs, only home subs. I haven't modeled it yet, but it seems that it would be plenty to fill a small to medium sized room with quality, low bass. I can't imagine that filling a car with bass is harder than filling a 1500 cubic foot living room.
