I have a daul amp it puts out 200watts peak, and 50watts RMS can I use a 12Gauge wire for the install?

12ga is fairly light for any car audio amp install. I'd say you'd be better off with 8ga.

I'd say go with the biggest that the amp can take to an extent, if it takes 8 ga go with that. 12 is too light, that's what I have for speaker wire on my subs.

I agree on the 8 AWG, but on such a little amp (RMS is really the only meaningful number) I doubt it will matter too much.

What is the amp going to be used for? I'm guessing interior speakers?

Its a 2 channel 50 watts RMS for my 6.5 components

I'd say why take the chance of limiting power, it's better to have extra room to work with. 8 Ga. isn't that expensive.

for future reference, you can view this chart:

Sounds like ur skills are pretty limited, no offense just telling the truth, might be a good time to find someone that knows what they are doing to help u out in person.
