I just noticed this last week, I only get about 4 stations clearly and the rest are in a stage of fuzz. I tried a different antenna but things only got worse because of the antennas location. I checked my connections so I'm wondering, could the antenna lead in the radio be bad? It worked fine at first, so I'm kind of confused. I'd like to find a solution soon so I can contact the seller.

is this problem in your GA another car? The only reason I ask is because I see you have an aftermarket radio in ur GA.

In my GA. Everything came in perfectly when I first got it, presets came out perfectly, but now nothing.

I would take out your headunit and make sure the antenna is in all the way. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. (7mm socket for the radio)

^Done it twice already, I've got the needed socket in my console still. If it's the antenna lead in the radio it's no big problem, because my package was really late and I gave neutral feedback I get a one year warranty for withdrawing it.

I have an alpine HU in mine as well and have been having problems with antenna reception ever since i got it put in, one of my winter projects is to figure out what the problem is...not looking forward to it.

anyways, one thing that I did was take the GA to the GM dealer when the static was about to kill me, and they took a look at it, and the "head electrician guy" or whoever said that it was rusted ignition coils and wires, so after puttin in 3 coils and 6 wires the reception was a lot better, but still had noticeable static.

So you might want to check those as in my case it helped with the reception.

you could always put an fm booster in. Theyre cheap and you can see if that helps. Do you still have the stock hu laying around. Hook that up quick and see if the reception is better. That is weird that you stated your reception started good but has gotten worse. If the stock hu has crappy reception as well then it's gotta be something from the antenna and the wire all the way to the hu (like a mouse started chewing through the wire). If the stock hu had better reception then I would say its the alpine hu and I would get that looked at under warranty or try the fm booster.

1999V6, wires are MSD 8.5s, less than a year old, I don't think that's the problem, especially since it was fine three weeks ago. Jay, wouldn't a mouse chewing the wire kill all reception? Unplugging my antenna got rid of even the clear stations. I stopped by the Radio Shack (has an audio section run by the owner's son, he's done db drag and outlaw db contests and won) I bought my subs at and the son figured it's the tuner if not all stations are out.
