Well i have a family of four,,, and it is the main vehicle,, and I am not as young as i used to be but, I would like it to perform a lil better. I have some cash to spend on this but budget is definetly in mind always.. was looking for some simple modest mods, to help increase acceleration and maybe somethings to stiffen the car up i find it is heavy and i can feeel it when braking and cornering,,, what you think,, any custom grand am pages for performance and exterior mods?

Your looking in "The Place" for mods of all types to our vehicles.
Generally the most common mods engine wise are a CAI and an exhaust upgrade. A good place to start.
Heavy.... hard to say here, you say cornering, which maybe some strut bars are in order. But, then you say braking, rear disc reconversion might do you.
I have a family of 4 also, thankfully the GA is mine.....maybe do some searching on the above and read up...

Well my 2003 is already the GT SCT Ram Air with 4-wheel disc, fully loaded leather and all options available,, i know the CAI is slighty better then the ram air but i like the ram air (stupid i know but i do),, and how much do you think the exhaust would raise the HP,,,

None. Ebay "chips" are scams.

Nitro wasnt talking about a chip, he gave him a link to the MP racing PCM. I have a Milzy motorsports PCM and its worth the money in my opinion, but I also think you should have other modifications first, like CAI, exhaust, at the least.

Also helps to replace the old stuff, like plugs and wires, fuel and air filter, etc.

If you're looking for performance then go with a cold air intake, they will come with a K&N or equivalent filter. Wires don't matter whether you go with MSD, Taylor, or AC Delco, the ignition systems on the Grand Ams is pretty good, unless the wires are corroded. I'm not sure about the 2.4s for plugs, but I'm guessing NGK or the stock AC Delco Platinums just like the 3.4s, they're picky, other plugs make them run weird.
