Okay, I know there has been numerous threads started about in dash DVD player s but none of them answer my questions, well some do, but they dont make sense. I want to know how simple it is to drop a double din screen into a double din slot, sounds easy enough. I know there is a double din dash kit out from metra that needs to be slightly modified to accommodate a dvd player. Now shouldn't I be able to drop this dvd player into the kit, hook up the wiring harness, chime module, steering wheel controls, put it in the dash then put the bezel back on and call it a day? Im reading all of the threads about how fiberglass modifications yadda yadda might need to be done, is this for the 99+ GA's that dont have a double din opening? I was going to get visions to do the install and all of that but I wanted to make sure it could be done without major modifications and be pretty straight forward because the shit some people do to make things work is sometimes quite ugly. So if someone could provide a simple explanation of how this install is done or if my idea is somewhat correct that would be great.
