Whell, i've been looking arround a litle in this great forum, and i havent find a SC really for the LA1... Bad thing. Isnt there a SC for this engine? In GMparts havent find. If theres some thing, what do you recomend to do for the instalation? What i have to do for a good instalation and dont blow the engine? Have to change the injectors too?

And about the header's, here in Mexico, is some one who make them, but he saids that its not recomended, cause the Torque they broke, even whit the flex joint. What do you think about it?

Thanks to all of you.

there was a supercharger kit mad for the LA1 engine however it was discontinued and extremely rare. if your looking for forced induction i would go the tirbo route. make sure you do it right as there are alot of things that are easily over looked. such as tuning, tranny upgrades, forging the insides, that turbo itself, custom bentg piping, downpipe, custom manifold just to name a few things. as for headers. S&S headers has some for the 3400 engine and from what ive heard the are worth the money.

Z-Spec, one of our advertisers, still offers their supercharger kit. Check out http://www.z-spec.com/catalog

You can also search this site and grandamgt.com for the mods your interested in and also learn more about the vehicle and its powertrain.

BTW 99% of forced induction systems people make themselves.

There were 2 blowers on the market...
Magnacharger (Eaton roots blower) - rare, only a handful made
RSM/Z-spec (Centrifugal blower) - still offered, but do your research on the kit first. It requires additional attention to keep the bearings/driveshaft from failing every couple thousand miles.

Excelent, thanks for the time, i'll search the SC kits.I prefer the SC cause its easier to mantain than a turbo, for me the turbo its a litle delicate.
