is there a sufficent sound quality difference between a 3 way and a 2 way 6x9 and is it worth the extra $30 or so???



and if i was to get a 5 1/4 component system for the front would the tweeters be able to fit in the stock tweeter location and if they do how do u get the stock ones out????

The front speakers are most important for your car audio. A subwoofer takes care of the bass, so what's left is the 6x9's which are basically fillers, not as important as the front and sub. Feel free to skimp.

Tweeters can always fit with a bit of modification.

I basically stuck my tweeters in the stock location with little modification. Also, if you're going to get a component system, you should definitely amp it.

yeah there is a differnce. most 3 ways lack a little bit with mids. for an extra $30, i'd say its worth it. but most people around here dont like rear fill. i do. i like to be surounded by sound. but thats just me.

stock tweeters are easy to get out. take the panel off simple by pulling it. on the back there are 3 tabs that hole the tweeter in place. just pry them off with a small flat head one at a time, but be careful not to break them. then the tweeter should come right out. its pretty simple. iirc, those tweeters are 3/4". so if you want tweeters that will fit with little to no modification, get tweeters that are the same size. my 1" tweeters wont fit.

x2 on the amping. hell dont even get comps if you dont intend on amping them. you'll just be waisting money.

what size tweeters are the ones in the component system for a 5 1/4 infinity kappa?? and will the stock amp work?? if not ill just get a good 4 channel amp
