I've been thinking about doing a little upgrade. I'd like to get some new wheels, tires, rotors and paint my calipers. I'd like to do it all roughly at the same time and I want to do most of the work myself. I've been thinking about getting the powerslot rotors from pfyc for the front and the rear. I also want to paint my calipers red. It doesn't look like it's that hard but any advice would be nice.

For the second part the wheels and tires. I've been looking at the cooper Zeon 2XS tires.

I don't know if many people have heard of them but I think they look pretty nice and the fact that I intern there and get a discount helps too. Info about the Zeon 2XS (http://www.coopertire.com/us/en/ProductDetails.asp?ProdType=Passenger&id=223)

Finally I'd like to get some wheels but I don't really know where to start. I really like the chromtechs but I want to get something that looks a little nicer. I love chrome but I haven't been able to find anything that looks really nice.

Am I going in the right direction? It'll be a few weeks before I have the money to get anything started but I'd really like to do something this summer.

Thanks!

I know, I was walking down the hall the other day and I saw something about them then when I went to a different area later I saw a whole display stand about them.

How much difference in looks is there between polished and chrome? Do they hold up any different?

So far I kinda like the Eagle 77 wheels. What do you guys think?

Also I don't know much about the size differences in wheels and tires. Could someone explain a little.

Thanks!

Call Alex at 740-383-6500 to hookup the PowerStops. His shop is in Marion, off 23 and Route 4. Tell him Scott at Keystone said to call. Part numbers are 8256PSL/8256PSR on the fronts, and 8258PSL/8258PSR on the rears. I used Raybestos pads with my Powerslots, and so far they work great. Use PGD727QS on the front, and PGD698QS on the rear. He can also hook you up with the caliper paint from VHT/Sperex or FoliaTec.

How bout some wheels.

I really love the style of the 077 rims but was disappointed with the luster of the polished aluminum. Make sure you check your rims before you have them installed. If you don't like them, send 'em back! American Eagle won't take them back once they've been bolted on, even if you don't drive on them.

The ones in the pictures are the chrome ones. The pitfall with chrome: it is harder to take care of. It oxidizes and wears down faster. A friend's parents' Lexus chrome rims actually started leaking air because the chrome around the lip of the rim had worn away.
