will 1'' tweeters fit in the stock location in the front if they will with modification how do u do it??

My after market tweeters did not fit. I took the sail panels off, and then took a 2 inch hole saw, and drilled a hole.

mine fit w/o drilling and i have the Alpine SPS-171As...

what you do is you remove the sail panel, remove the tweeter, break off the tabs that hold in the tweeter and use silicone to secure the new tweeter in there. you can use hot glue but when the weather outside gets to be over 100 that hot glue can become undone. the silicone is heat resistant.

TBH, go ahead and do modification. Just go to a J/Y and get a spare set of Sails in case you want to revert later.

The fronts of mine look the same as they did stock except that I took the Polk emblem off the aftermarket tweet before I put it in and stuck it to the outside of the mesh that covers the hole in the sail.

yup mine fit in the stock tweeter place just fine just needed some minor help to fit.
