Or you can do it the BETTER way and use a Tee fitting to connect both the factory oil pressure switch and the aftermarket oil pressure sender. That way you leave the factory warning light and engine protection intact.

by the time that light comes on your screwed. at least with the oil pressure gauge i mounted it in the eye level pod, i can see if it suddenly drops pressure.

I agree, which is why I have a gauge too. But at the same time, for the sake of a $2 tee, why not leave the factory light intact?

I didn't use a T, however I do like the idea of having both.
And not for nothing, but I wouldn't say the idoit light is useless. If you bust a hole in your oil pan, yeah when it comes on you're in trouble, but if you have low oil level or the pump isn't up to par it will catch your attention far easier than seeing a needle move.
BTW, no point of going to another forum the information is here as well.

Thats how I have mine done. I installed the T and still use the idiot light. If I hit corners really hard and fast the light comes on. I've never had a problem with any leaks etc.

Well the search button is a great feature to most modern internet based forums and it's pretty simple to use. :)

Because obviously someone didn't use it or doesn't know how to just use key words or the proper terms to search for....
My point is the information is here as well, no need to link to any place else.
If you would like I can give you more helpful tips on how to efficently use the search function via PMs.

Why the hell should it be in the HOW-TO section? It's not a how-to on anything. It was just a post on the location of the sensor. Like TA^Guy said, if the info is here now, what is the point of posting a link to something that has already been covered? Add the pic or whatever for added info and leave it like that.
As for adding the T. On the 92-98 there is no point in adding the stock sensor back on since if the oil pressure falls low enough to set of the light, it's already too late. Your motor will already have problems and require repair. I'm not sure how the 99+ sensor setup works though...

Because this is an active forum where discussion is encouraged. If every reposted topic should be closed/deleted, then we might as well close the forum and create a static web page.
